Amtrak California Zephyr
Researching Between the Moon and Paul McCartney, I took the California Zephyr from San Francisco to Chicago. My characters took the same train, with just a few changes, in 1970. I especially appreciate the conductor who also took that trip in 1970. He was so helpful in explaining what the train was like during that time.
